Whats more romantic than a surprise proposal in paradise?? Rob wanted to surprise Amanda with his well thought out proposal with a surprise trip to Hawaii. He rented a beach house, had a nice plated dinner for the two of them and popped the question! Amanda was so tickled at how much time Rob put into this and she said YES! One of the biggest trends going around lately is eco-friendly weddings. They are so fun and thoughtful of planet earth. All the invitations, wedding favors and excess orders go to waste. Think of sending invitations on recycled paper or even email invites, biodegradable wedding favors, and minimizing your guest count. That last thing seems to be really hard to do but may be very important. The less people attend your wedding the less food you have to pay for and the more intimate the wedding feels. To Veil or Not to Veil?

Whether a bride wears a veil or doesn’t wear one is completely up to her. Even though sometimes family seems to have a say. Go with your gut, try one one, try different lengths, try it without and decide for yourself. Always keep in mind where you are getting married, for example; an outdoor wedding with wind may be ideal for no veil or a smaller veil. A longer veil seems to be a hit for indoor church weddings. This really helps complete the “Getting Married in a Church” look. Weigh your options and be open to suggestions and always recognize that every bride is different and there is no rule that decides if a bride has to wear a veil. It is YOUR day, let the researching and fun begin!

Bridal Guide is a great wedding resource for brides all over the globe. We have been fortunate enough to be featured with them a few times! Our most recent feature was with our couple Jonelle & Roland. They had such a fun reception and included a black jack table, craps and pocket tables. It was a great way for both adults and kids to join in on the fun! It was really important to the couple that their wedding center around love, commitment, family and fun! It is a great idea to find something fun like this to set your wedding apart from all the others.

It is so easy for our eyes to accept the color because we see green everywhere and it is such a huge part of nature. Every year The Knot comes up with a trends announcement! This year one of the most exciting trends is the incorporation of social media into weddings. Many couples are creating an Instagram account specifically for their wedding, something like “JanePlusJohn” or something as simple as “RobinsonWedding”. They ask their guests to tag them in any pictures they post! This is a great, fun, interactive way to share more personalized and immediate pictures with the rest of the world.

Start by creating a hashtag name for your wedding and give handouts to your guest encouraging them to take pictures and post them to your new instagram hashtag! This is such a great way for you to have more immediate pictures of your wedding ceremony and reception while you wait for the professional ones to come.
